Hello, my bodacious bookworms,
Yesterday the finalists for the Ann Bannon Popular Choice Award were announced by GCLS. Imagine my shock to see No Strings on that list among so many other great books by authors I admire. It’s an honor to be nominated always seems like something people say when they want to appear modest, but, pregnancy hormones or not, I did tear up reading the email.
The thing is, I haven’t been writing much this year. It turns out that being pregnant and working full-time is… difficult. Not sure if anyone was aware of that but it has been news to me! In fact, for the first six months I could barely read (my brain would only allow the Scarpetta series), but just in the last week I’ve broke the evil witch’s spell and tore through two romcoms by Mhairi McFarlane. CW: not sapphic.
Anyway, I’m feeling a little more like my writerly self these days and am here, in your inbox, humbly asking for a vote if you enjoyed No Strings. Votes are open until April 30.
You can vote here for your top 5 books: https://goldencrown.secure-platform.com/a/page/Ann-Bannon-Finalists

Regardless of who you vote for or if you click the link at all, thank you for your support—it means the whole world to me.
LOL (lots of love),

Done! Loved the book. :-)
And congrats on the pregnancy brain reprieve. My wife had a rough first few months but the end result was worth it. At least that's what she says most of the time. ;-)
This is so damn awesome! Broke my finger I voted to fast! Congrats!! (On like, so many things, but here I’m obviously talking about the reading...)
